Private Banking Account Worldwide Travel Insurance is only available to HSBC UK Private Banking Account holders. It is not available on savings or other accounts. Subject to application.

What's included

Worldwide cover for you, your partner and dependent children or grandchildren

The cover is for:

  • You (the HSBC account holder)
  • Your domestic partner
  • Any dependent children travelling with you or independently
  • Any grandchildren, but only when they're travelling with you

You and your partner must both be under 80 on the first day of your trip.

Children or grandchildren must be under 23.

Grandchildren don't have to live with you.

All insured persons must be residents of the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

You must be registered with a doctor in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man to be covered for medical claims.

What's not covered

Pre-existing conditions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered at any time under the policy unless:

  • They're listed on the accepted conditions list, or
  • You've disclosed them to the HSBC Medical Risk Assessment Helpline who have accepted them in writing

Undiagnosed symptoms

Undiagnosed symptoms are not covered. There is no cover for any claim where you knew that you or your travelling companion may be unable to travel or may need to come home early at the time you opened your HSBC Global Private Banking Account or booked your trip (whichever is later). For example, if one of you fell ill.

Check you're eligible

You may qualify if you're:

  • An HSBC Private Banking Account holder
  • Under 80
  • Resident in the UK (not including the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man)

Any dependent children should be under 23 on the first day of the trip.

You will only be covered if your application has been accepted by HSBC UK.
