You’re applying for an HSBC Premier Employee Bank Account

Employee eligibility

To join HSBC Premier you’ll need to pay your annual income into your HSBC Premier Account, and confirm that:

  • you’re not an existing HSBC UK customer
  • you’re aged 18 years or above 

To be eligible for HSBC Premier, you usually need to meet one of the following criteria:

  • within 6 months, you’ll have savings or investments of at least £50,000 with HSBC UK or,
  • have an income of £75,000 and one of the following with HSBC UK: a mortgage, an investment, life insurance or a protection product or,
  • you’ve qualified for HSBC Premier in another country

However, if you’re grade GCB3 to GCB0, you can enjoy all the benefits of HSBC Premier without having to meet the standard eligibility criteria.

If you’re a GCB4 or below, you can still apply for Premier if you meet the standard eligibility criteria. 

What you'll need to apply

  • details of where you’ve lived for the past three years
  • your employee details
  • your income details
  • your staff ID number
  • and, if applying from outside the UK but within the EU, you’ll need to provide certified proof of your identity and address, translated into English if necessary
