HSBC Rewards Credit Card

To be eligible for the HSBC Rewards Credit Card, you need to:

• have an annual UK taxable income or pension, before tax, of £6,800 or more
• be a UK resident_¹
• be over 18
• have an existing Advance Account, Bank Account or Premier Account with HSBC
• have paid a total of £1,750 a month into your account over the last 6 months, not including money transferred from other sole or joint personal accounts held with HSBC UK

If you foresee any changes in circumstances that may affect your ability to repay the credit card you are applying for, for example a change in your income or outgoings, a change to your employment situation or you are a temporary or zero hours contract worker, please apply by telephone or branch.

If you have an HSBC UK credit card, you’re eligible to apply for another if you haven’t applied for an HSBC credit card within the past 6 months, and the card isn’t the one you currently have.

Balances can’t be transferred from all cards, for example those issued by members of the HSBC Group, including HSBC UK, first direct and M&S Bank.

If you’re not a HSBC customer yet but would like to take up the Rewards Credit Card today, you first need to successfully apply for an HSBC Advance Bank Account  HSBC Bank Account or HSBC Premier Bank Account.

You need to maintain a credit turnover of £1,750 a month into the account for a minimum of 6 months (or a minimum of £10,500 every 6 months). This doesn't include money transferred from other sole or joint personal accounts held with HSBC UK. Each account will have its own qualifying criteria.

Please note, if you currently hold a Student or Reward Credit Card with us, you will not be eligible for this product.
