Register for digital banking

During registration you'll be asked to set up a Mobile Banking PIN or physical Secure Key.

These will generate authorisation and log on codes with the use of a PIN (or fingerprint/face ID if eligible) and will ensure only you can access your accounts.

You can choose to use a Mobile Banking PIN on your mobile by downloading the HSBC UK Mobile Banking App. By choosing a Mobile Banking PIN, this will give you full access to Online Banking as soon as you complete registration and log on.

Once you've set up your new PIN to access the app, you'll be able to set up the app on 2 other devices. This will mean full access to the app and all its features across up to 3 devices. You can review these devices at any time, adding or removing as you like.

If you don't have a compatible device or don't want a Mobile Banking PIN, you can order a physical Secure Key for delivery when you register for Online Banking or collect one when you register in a branch. If you choose a Physical Secure Key you will not be able to access the Mobile Banking App.

• Your Telephone Banking Security Number is a 6 to 10 number that only you will know. It is what we use to verify you if you call us. You may have been asked to set this up at the time you opened your account.
   

What if i don't have a Telephone Banking Security Number?

• If you do not currently hold a Telephone Banking Security Number and would like to set one up please contact us on 03457 404404.
   

What if i have forgotten my Telephone Banking Security Number?

• If you have already set up a Telephone Banking Security Number but have forgotten it and need to have it reset please call us on 03456 002290.

Alternatively, you can visit one of our branches where a member of staff will assist you.
